When did GOD become controversial in the USA?

There was a recent time, when I would have said, Americans do not understand "persecution"......we have so very little evidence and experience with it. We are, after all, the modern society, welcoming all...

How very ignorant, I was.

I recently paid $25, for a t-shirt, with the Pledge of Allegience printed on the back.

At work, I have always chosen to be professionally dressed..........but on this Friday, I wore the t-shirt with the plege...

I was called into the " administrators" office.  The charge against me- My shirt was "controversial" because it said "Under God".

WAKE UP America!
